We’ve put together a few of our favorite Wilmington NC dessert spots to linger and share a sweet treat. Of course, there are plenty of bakeries and ice cream shops that serve great desserts, but for this story, we thought we would stick with the full “sit down and enjoy” experience – and then some.
First stop, Hot Pink Cake Stand – Hot Pink combines two of our favorite food groups, wine and baked goods, into one fashionable and relaxing spot for a little decadence on date night. Quality is the number one priority at Hot Pink. This means the ingredients are of the highest quality available. Everything is made 100% from scratch and baked daily. Some of our favorite flavors include the White Chocolate Raspberry Cobbler and the Salted Chocolate Crunchy Peanut Butter – and don’t miss trying the Honey Banana Cream Cheese. Delicious!
Brasserie du Soleil is a beautiful and welcoming restaurant on your way to Wrightsville Beach. Dessert cocktails of key-lime pie and chocolate mousse await you! And, after your dessert drink, stick around and explore beautiful and wonderful Lumina Station – chock full of fun and unique shops. (Off topic, but the raw bar is amazing at Brasserie!)
Like dessert, we’ve saved the best for last! Voted #1 in Wilmington, The Fortunate Glass is AWESOME. We tried the Dessert Trio. On our visit, the chef selected a Flourless Tort with Sauce and Garnish, Cheesecake with Sauce and Garnish and Truffled Cake Bites. Unbelievable! Nothing at Fortunate Glass disappoints. Fortunate Glass is a sleek wine bar offering a great experience hinging on great wines and a small menu of fine cheeses, Italian cured meats, small plates and decadent desserts. The Fortunate Glass is housed in Historic Downtown Wilmington – it’s a great atmosphere!
