Question: How did you hear about St. James Plantation?
Erin: Charlie has friend that lives in St. James Plantation, and he retired here about 20 years ago, maybe 19.
Charlie: A little less.
Erin: He invited us to come down and visit and we fell in love after we came down.
Question: How did you find Hamilton Realty Group?
Erin: I’m a Facebook user, so I started just Googling or looking up St. James Plantation and one day I came upon a video that Jack had done called the Monday Morning Market Update. He was telling about how many homes were for sale in St. James and how the market was, whether it was a buyer or sellers’ market. I started following him on Facebook. And then finally, I just made the phone call.
Question: What was it like working with Jack and the rest of the Hamilton Realty Group team?
Charlie: It worked seamlessly, actually. Jack did a great job of finding properties for us. It’s funny, when we first came, we thought, well, let’s go down. Let’s get just more of an in depth look rather than looking at Zillow or something like that and see what the homes look like actually being there. He asked the right questions, found what we wanted, showed us the homes that we wanted, would knock ones off the list. He said, “No, you are not going to like that based on your criteria.” So he did a great job. We saw a bunch of homes that we liked, but they weren’t quite right. We almost left, and then when we were going to leave, we found a house that we wanted to buy. We walked in the door and it was like, that’s home.
Question: When did you move to St. James Plantation?
Erin: We closed on our house a year ago and we’ve been coming back and forth, but we moved in March, full time. So we’ve been here since March 12th, full time. We are loving it.
Question: What do you like to do for fun in St. James Plantation?
Erin: Number one is golfing and just a beachcombing. I love going to the point in Oak Island. I love going to our beach club at St. James.
Charlie: You can go bike, riding, walking. It’s a great community to walk in. You feel safe. It’s just pretty. We love to bird watch. There are a million birds here, so that’s nice.
