Carolinas Connect Realty Grand Opening Event

The Carolinas Connect Realty team welcomed local businesses, chamber members, friends, family and clients on Thursday April 30th for a celebration at our new office at 1427 N. Howe Street in Southport, NC. Strong community support brought close to a hundred people through the doors to meet the team and strategize for the upswing in the real estate market. All indicators show that the market is strengthening so partnering with successful local businesses to provide outstanding services to our office and clients has been a priority from day one. Carolinas Connect Realty’s office concept is a bit different than a traditional office space with lots of closed doors. We encourage comradery, networking and coaching opportunities that come from working as a team.  Jack Hamilton and Donald Howarth partnered late last year to bring years of experience and knowledge together to build a team in Southport. Each with successful careers, Jack and Donald have proven to truly complement each other with their vast experience in different facets of the real estate industry.

Many in attendance at the Grand Opening were local vendors that have been instrumental in bringing our office and team together. Southport has a wonderful sense of community which is in part why this location was chosen to be the “flagship” office for Carolinas Connect Realty whose parent company is Connect Realty in The Woodlands, Houston, Texas. Connect Realty has been focused on providing their agents with the latest technology. The two individuals spearheading the advancement of this technology are Paul Evans and David Drake of “reOneSpot” out of Atlanta Georgia. David and Paul came to spend time with the team and joined us for our Open House. Their Cloud based, integrated software allows agents to communicate more effectively with parties of a transaction, streamline follow-up, store documents and manage a client portal where buyers, sellers, realtors, attorneys, lenders and other vendors can sign in and see real time updates during the contract process. There are many more exciting concepts being worked on that will further enhance this innovative technology. Thank you Paul and David for your time, expertise, training and for making the trip to Southport for our Grand Opening. “reOneSpot” will certainly make us more efficient and competitive as our business grows.

Some of the other people that made our event so successful were Joe Caldropoli and Libby from Coastal Catering and Events, who brought plenty of delicious appetizers including a new delight called a “maple bacon pop” that was a huge hit. Chris Kelley with Silver Coast Winery served a variety of their local wines as well as some North Carolina Craft Beers which we all enjoyed. John Lynch with Servepro donated drink koozies, Christina Willetts owner of Side Street Bakery donated a scrumptious display of mini desserts, Robin Weir of Wild by Nature surprised us with a beautiful arrangement of fresh flowers which smell amazing and Ashley Rose of Homestead Funding printed our invitations. Thank you to all of the above mentioned people and businesses for their contributions.

Giving back to such a gracious community is at the top of our priority list so we held a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Brunswick Literacy Council whose mission is to “improve lives by providing literacy skills to adults”. The winner of the raffle, Eugene Arnold contributed his portion of the winnings to the non-profit group for a total donation of $232.00 which we know will be put to good use here in our community.

We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and relationships we have established thus far. As we continue to grow, we look forward to extending our services and establishing more friendships throughout North and South Carolina.
