Joann grew up in Southport, NC and she’s enjoyed watching her community grow. For many years, she and her husband, Brian, owned a local restaurant. They enjoyed building that business together and getting to know the many faces of Southport. She transitioned into real estate in 2017 and still enjoys working alongside her husband, as he is a licensed NC general contractor, and they build several homes a year together. This knowledge serves her well when working with clients during the home selling/buying process.

When not working, she enjoys traveling with Brian around the world and she’s never met a stranger. One of her favorite things is to introduce people to new foods, especially Vietnamese dishes, as her mother was an excellent cook. She keeps busy with her three Jack Russell Terriers: GG, Gracie and Gypsy.
